This holiday season, forget about tuition, homework and studies. It’s time for fun and excitement at the theme parks across the border

Put those electronic games and devices aside and experience a world of fun and family bonding at one of the many exciting theme parks in Malaysia.

When was the last time you laughed together, or screamed your heads off together on a rollercoaster ride? These are unforgettable moments to be shared as a family. And, you don’t have to break the bank at more expensive, far off places.
Malaysia has more than enough theme parks that offer quality fun. If grandma is particular about her food, you can twin the theme park experience with some of the most delicious and inexpensive street food in the world at the nearby towns
and villages.

Legoland Malaysia Resort – Asia’s first

Just across the border, in Johor, Legoland not only has world famous landmarks made out of 30 million Lego bricks, it also has fun shows and attractions, as well as 40 exciting rides.

Lego Technic is the high-speed rides area with a futuristic bent, while Lego Kingdoms is a Mediaeval-themed park with train rides for the younger ones and rollercoasters for the whole family.

The most inspiring of all is Lego City, with life-sized planes, cars, trains, boats and other vehicles to explore – Lego style!

Sunway Lagoon – Multi-parks for All Kinds of Fun

So what if the sun is blistering hot? Change into your swimsuits and dive into the Waters of Africa area, with its multi-lane water slide, and the water playground Little Zimbabwe.

For the more adventurous, try gravity-defying rides such as the Tomahawk & Pirate’s Revenge, which spins at 360 degrees, as well as the Grand Canyon River Rapids where the raging waters give you a tumbling wet and wild experience!

Sunway Lagoon also offers traditional attractions such as archery, go-kart racing, the flying fox, and even rides on the All-Terrain Vehicle. The Wildlife Park has more than 150 species of animals from the around world, and live animal shows and educational programmes. Who says you won’t learn anything at theme parks?

Lovers of the spooky will enjoy Scream Park, the first horror-themed park of its kind in the country, where you can catch local horror flicks such as Hutan Yang Seram and Rumah Hantu 3DX in the Pontianak Theatre, or experience Three Floors of Fear in the new attraction, Horrorwood Studios 2: The Zombie Apocalypse.
