Bangkok is the land of smiles – the food is cheap, the people are friendly and the massages are indulgent. But that’s done to death, let’s try something new

How many times can you party up in Patpong before getting tired of it? That is a trick question because I can eat, breathe and live Bangkok for the rest of my life easily. But let’s get to the crux of our issue at hand – are you game for exploring the hidden pet cafes of Bangkok?

Lucky Bunny Café & Restaurant

Now, this place is notoriously hard to get to – ask your cab driver if he is familiar with the location before boarding! This place is well tucked into Lat Phrao so look out for the small “bunny” signage along the way to make sure you are on the right track.

The playpen allows customers to enter in sessions. The host will do a brief introduction of the place, perform tricks with the bunnies and offer you some treats for them! Afterward you will get a chance to cuddle up with the little munchkins as they lay on your lap waiting for food.

Neverland Siberians

This place is unmissable. The host allows the public to enter the grounds in sessions – you could have lunch at their quaint cafe while waiting! When the dogs were released from their kennels, there was an excited charge in the air. Believe me when I say these dogs are grand.

Customers have to don on “plastic shoes” to enter the grounds, hence the ultra-stylish footwear seen in the last photo. Feeding is not allowed but feel free to stroke them and take picture perfect photos with these friendly but magnificent creatures.

Purr Cat Cafe Club

Last on my list is the Purr Cat Cafe Club. I had my doubts about coming to this place – the reviews online weren’t exactly raving. Most of them made a note about how the lazy cats would not bother with you. And I have to say I agree.

Most of them were lying outstretched on the rug but the more nimble ones would hop onto the shelves and hide themselves in a little corner. The ones that were outstretched ignored me when I petted them and with a bored glance, got up and strode proudly away.

Oh, cats!
